Eliminate the time, energy and resources required to repair the negative effects on your brand and company created by mold-damaged shipments, by using Impactiva’s highly trained mold technicians to constantly monitor your factories thus reducing your mold damages by more than 95%.
One of the most serious evils affecting the apparel, footwear, leathergoods and outdoor gear industries over the past years has been the destruction in economic value created by moldy product arriving at destination. The cost to the industry is measured in hundreds of millions of dollars!
If moisture contaminated with mold accumulated on your product during production or during the course of its shipment, it will be covered with mold when it arrives. It can cost more than US$10 per item to clean a moldy shoe or garment (pickup and re-delivery freight costs, distribution handling costs, rework-cleaning charges, etc.) plus the enormous losses related to delivery delays. Or even worse, the product is permanently damaged dramatically affecting your bottom line and your brand equity. Don’t let mold kill your sales and brand!
With Impactiva’s Mold Prevention Program, a highly trained mold quality assurance technician will visit each of your factories more than 20 times per year to perform a comprehensive mold prevention audit. Each mold audit will yield a detailed Factory Mold Prevention Audit Report with remedial actions to be taken. We’ll also organize a meeting with factory senior management to present the results and recommendations, review actions taken since the last visit, and secure a commitment for corrective actions. The result: quick identification and long-term remediation of issues.
As the world’s leading quality assurance company in the footwear, apparel, leathergoods and outdoor gear industries, Impactiva brings an unmatched level of expertise to each mold prevention audit. Our technicians understand the many ways mold can infest your factories and products, as well as the havoc it can wreak on warehouses and retail locations. Their knowledge will help you eliminate mold-related issues, saving you valuable time, frustration and resources.

IMPACTIVA AT THE FACTORY
Two times per month for each of the twelve months of the year, a qualified Impactiva Mold Quality Assurance Technician will visit each of your factories to perform a Mold Audit based on the review and evaluation of more than 70 separate criteria.
At the end of each visit, the Impactiva Mold QA Technician will emit a Factory Mold Prevention Audit Report to the client and the factory that clearly highlights and explains the remedial action to be taken by the factory.
The Impactiva Mold QA Technician then organizes a meeting with the most senior management at the factory to report the results of the program, actions taken or not taken since the last visit, arriving at a new commitment of what tasks are required to be done during the following two weeks.
Within 24 hours of each Audit, the client will receive each Factory’s Mold Prevention Audit Report with the agreed upon action plan and commitments made by the factory. If the factory is not fulfilling its commitments, Impactiva will notify the client so that pressure can be applied to said supplier.
On the 5th day of every month, the client will receive a summary report of the results achieved by each factory during said month. Said report will confirm for each factory the current level of non-compliance to the agreed upon correction tasks (i.e. the number of tasks completed versus the number of tasks committed).
OUR CONTRIBUTION TO CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Impactiva’s work does not end when your orders are shipped. We create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and learning throughout your entire supply chain. If any mold issues arise when your product arrives at destination, we work hard to obtain all the necessary information which allows us to perform a detailed and complete investigation until root causes are determined. We then immediately communicate our findings to you, your supply chain partners and the entire Impactiva Team at your service and implement any changes required to processes and procedures to prevent reoccurrences.
