Leave your apparel Final QC in the hands of Impactiva’s corruption-free, highly skilled and technically qualified apparel industry technicians.
How it works
Impactiva will meet with you and your team to learn the specifics and details of all the operating rules which govern your apparel supply chain. Based on this information we will prepare your customized Processes and Procedures Book which will govern the daily operations of your Apparel Quality Control Program.
At the beginning of each season, we will meet with your design and/or merchandising team to understand their concerns with respect to the key points of the esthetic look, fit and functionality of each style to be produced in the season. These key points are then used by our technicians along with your spec sheets and the approved/signed pre-production samples to perform the final shipment QC.
When a purchase order is ready for inspection at each of your factories, an Impactiva technician will first verify that the factory has produced the garments that have been ordered and verify that all required physical property and restricted substance tests have been performed and have passed. Then using Impactiva’s best-in-class Final Shipment QC Inspection methodology (which uses a tightened Level III AQL sampling plan and includes measurement audits, critical/important manual tests and optical-feel inspections), each purchase order is then approved or rejected for 100% re-inspection and rework. Of utmost importance is the verification of all labels, hangtags and barcodes. This comprehensive process ensures that +98.0% of your shipments will arrive without factory claims.
Reduce your Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) by more than 90% improving your company and brand equity! Impactiva can help you to immediately begin to achieve the below listed savings.
Factory Claims: reduce quality related claims to your factories to less than 2.0% of the pieces shipped.
Your QC Team Costs: eliminate the need of spending valuable resources on recruiting, training, coaching and supervising your own QC Team. Eliminate the stress and strains of disruptions from the departure of key members of your Quality Assurance / Quality Control team. Have the option of quickly deploying trustworthy industry specific QC professionals when you discover suppliers in lower cost regions or countries.
Freight Costs: eliminate the air freight cost for the urgent replacement of defective product that has arrived at your client, and the inland freight cost due to defective product returns by your clients.
Rework: avoid the pain of having to pay $3-$10 per piece to repair defective garments at destination.
Client Chargebacks: defective product chargebacks.
Gross margin loss: order cancellations (due to product returns/permanent rejection), clients putting you on probation, clients permanently stopping to buy from you.
Chargeback Administrative Handling Costs: eliminate the need to have expensive headquarter staff dedicating their valuable time to negotiate claims and chargebacks with factories and clients.
Variable vs Fixed: turn your QC costs from a fixed to a variable expense allowing you to reduce headcount and the stress of meeting monthly higher operating expense payments.
Loss of Brand Equity: avoid losing your Company’s hard earned corporate and brand image and an increase in client dissatisfaction due to repeated product quality problems.
Product Quality: improve the average outgoing quality level of your product’s esthetic look, fit and functionality using this improvement as a competitive sales advantage.
Organizational Tranquility: reduce the arguments – discussions – disruptions – noise level between you and your agents or factories. Reduce the time wasted by senior leadership on quality and production related issues (angry client calls demanding 5, 6 and 7 digit store permanent returns, organizing express shipments, ugly claims discussions with factory owners who have significant cultural differences and are across many time zones).

DEFINITION OF STANDARDS
This process is one of the pillars of Impactiva’s leading-edge apparel quality control system. We work with you to help you define the rules of the game of your Apparel QC Program so that all parties in your apparel supply chain know how to operate. These rules of the game are converted into a document called your Process and Procedure Book.
Before each season begins, Impactiva will work with your development team to understand the key concerns with respect to each style to be produced. These are turned into a “Know Your Style” spec sheet which along with pre-production samples comprise the standards for each style.
IMPACTIVA AT THE FACTORY
We perform a tightened level III AQL final shipment inspection using Impactiva’s leading-edge methodology. Critical tests, important tests, measurement audit and optical-feel inspections are performed daily on all completed apparel orders to ensure that what is shipped fulfills your quality standards. We teach your factories how to perform a professional final QC and ask them to give us their report prior to our inspection thus making them accountable and liable. Rejected lots are reworked 100% by the supplier for identified defects. After the shipment we provide an Excel based report for every production lot.
OUR CONTRIBUTION TO CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Impactiva’s work does not end when your apparel orders are shipped. We create and maintain a culture of continuous improvement and learning throughout your entire supply chain. If any quality problems / issues arise when the garments arrive at their destination, we work hard to obtain all the necessary information which allows us to perform a detailed and complete investigation until root causes are determined. We then immediately communicate our findings to you, your apparel supply chain partners and the entire Impactiva Team at your service and implement any changes required to processes and procedures to prevent reoccurrences.
Impactiva has zero tolerance for corruption and thus is proud to offer the apparel industry a final shipment QC service which is unique in that it is corruption free! How do we do it? Via a six step process of checks and balances and duplicate controls that ensure that you get the quality of service that you need for the success of your business.
