Wavy stitching – Case #037

“A picture is worth a thousand words”. Practical solutions to problems encountered in the manufacturing process that demonstrate how we assist our customers’ factories to produce their products Right from the Start TM.

Problem: Wavy double row stitching beside the eyelets caused by the use of the wrong pressure roller size on the stitching machine. The factory was using a 5mm wide roller instead of the 3mm one required for this operation. The pressure roller touched the eyelet edges while sewing, leading to wavy stitches near the eyelets.

Impactiva solution: we got the factory to use a 3 mm wide pressure roller to avoid the contact between the eyelets and the roller while stitching. Also, a guide was attached to the machine to help straight stitching. Wavy stitching was avoided completely.
