Uneven stitching on trousers waist band – Case #055

“A picture is worth a thousand words”. Practical solutions to problems encountered in the manufacturing process that demonstrate how we assist our customers’ factories to produce Right from the Start ^TM.

Problem: Uneven distance between the stitches and waviness in the double-needle top stitches of the waist band of trousers.

Impactiva solution: Impactiva found that the factory was using a single needle machine to do the double stitching. Fortunately we found this at the beginning of the production and could stop it immediately. We asked the factory to use ONLY double needle machines for all double top stitches. The esthetic look of the garment was successfully achieved.

 Finding this at this very early stage avoided huge rework and rejection of pieces at the final QC. This is a clear example of the benefits of an end-to-end Quality Assurance Program versus a Final Quality Control inspection.
