Looseness in uppers – Case #597

Problem: usable leather was becoming loose during stiffener attaching and Strobel stitching procedures, since it required extensive handling as uppers are folded. The Factory was using non-woven material as backer, which was not providing proper strength.

Impactiva solution: we got the Factory to use 1.2mm EVA instead of non-woven for empty grain / poor temper leather in order to keep it tight and maintain the required strength.
